Side Channel air blowers with 1 or 2 stages are offered using single phase power for the smaller ones and three phase power for the larger ones. Multiple single phase air blowers can be used for larger applications where 3 phase power is not available.

The sizing information required is:

(a) Volume of air. Litres/Minute or M³/Hour
(b) Depth of aeration
(c) Friction loss*
(d) Availability of 3 phase power.

*Biodigester wastewater / sewage treatment plants are designed to avoid significant friction loss.
