How to empty your Biodigester

2013–Current
1. Remove crust from Outer Settlement Chamber.
2. Empty from Central Treatment Chamber avoiding damage to air diffuser(s) pipework.
3. Leave a little sludge.

Note: Plastic Media Strings are tethered to the inside walls of the Inner Treatment Chamber.
T Range
MK1
2001–2003
1. Remove crust from Outer Settlement Chamber.
2. Empty from Central Treatment Chamber avoiding removal of mobile plastic media.
3. Leave a little sludge.
T Range
MK2
2003–2013
1. Remove crust from Outer Settlement Chamber.
2. Empty from vertical orange pipe, 150mm (6”) diameter, within Central Treatment Chamber.
Note: This pipe has holes in it that are smaller than the mobile plastic media
3. Leave a little sludge.

Supplied with a separate Primary Settlement Tank or added to an existing tank.

Bonus Biodigesters are supplied with a new Primary Settlement Tank or are added on to an existing tank.

Empty all stages of the Primary Settlement Tank taking the crust off first leaving a little sludge.

The Biodigester Bonus has a Final Settlement Chamber with an automatic sludge return/recycle pump. This chamber does not need to be emptied on a regular basis but may occasionally need to be emptied and cleaned.
